Territory-wide Obstetrics and Gynaecology Audit (2009) In 1994, the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists published the first report on the territory-wide audit in obstetrics and gynaecology. The audit provided important and useful information on the inpatient services in our specialty throughout Hong Kong. The second and third audits were conducted again in 1999 and 2004 and the reports provided valuable information on trend of the inpatient workload and changing pattern of practice in our specialty. We are very grateful to all the participating hospitals and members of the College for their enormous efforts and contribution in making the last three exercises successful. Fifteen years after the first exercise, the College is proud to announce the roll out of the fourth audit exercise in 2009. As in the last 3 exercises, it will be a one year audit from 1st January to 31st December 2009. There are some minor changes in the obstetric form and a number of new diagnosis and procedure items are added in the gynaecological data set. Please refer to the respective new coding, obstetric audit form and gynaecological audit form. The latest version of the software for gynaecological auditing can also be download here. Passwords and Borland Database Engine are required to run the software. Password can be provided on requested (Please contact admin@hkcog.org.hk ). If you have not installed Borland Database Engine, you can download the Borland Database Engine from the website. After unzipping the file, run "Setup.exe" followed by "bde511en.exe". The former is for installation of the database engine while the latter is for upgrading the engine. If you have any queries or require assistance, please contact the co-ordinator of the hospital concerned. The list of co-ordinators of the participating hospitals is attached for your reference, or you can check it up in the College website. Your continual support and contribution are crucial to the success of this important exercise. Thank you very much. sincerely, PM Yuen Chief co-ordinator Territory-wide Audit in Obstetrics and Gynaecology 2009 List of Hospitals Co-ordinators
